Pros
cool science being done by the overall company but this location is not a good place to work
Cons
they treated the contracted (to hire) employees as if they were not actually a part of the team, something I had not experienced before with this type of contact work. There were multiple contracted employees in this position so it was not a person to person basis. Additionally supervisors and lower level management of this team continued to assure us they were doing all they could to give us the same small benefits that non contacted employees had, and trying to include us in those small things. For instance we were not given any company T-Shirts and other small favors as part of our introduction week, and there was a welcome talk where new hire names were mentioned and asked to introduce themselves, except for ours. We worked on multiple important projects for them over our months working there. Our supervisor completely lied to us about the security of our contracts, consistently having performance meetings with us and assured us we were on track for being hired at the end of the contract. Instead of letting us know they decided to end the contract, we were told nothing, only for all of the contracted employees to get the same call from the contract agency to ask if we were aware our contracts had been terminated. i have NEVER felt this disrespectful as a contract worker
