I still have nightmares - Logistics Coordinator Biocair Employee Review

I worked at Biocair as I had just left Uni and I had nothing to base employment on before then. I do now, and I can't believe the bullying, aggression, and inhuman working conditions me and my colleagues used to accept. Since leaving, I can still have nightmares about the office as well as working there in addition to several members of the management team... such is the "culture" that Biocair purposefully creates. A good example of this is how the operations management team would allow, if not encourage, their favourites to openly bully the weaker staff across the office. It was a daily occurrence to be guilted by a supervisor into trying to leave by 1800 (though the contract technically finished earlier) and most days we worked 0830-1830 no questions asked. The work was beyond fast-paced, with coordinators trying to handle unacceptable numbers of bespoke shipments a day on top of quotes, complaints, general enquiries, and phone calls. Any mistakes, which clearly happened quite regularly, whether large or small, were considered a character failure of an individual and you were either mocked for missing something, or shouted at by warehouse staff for them having to change any schedules. And while mistakes were prevalent due to the mix of highly complex/temperature controlled/dangerous goods/next day international shipping, there was no supportive training to those who needed a leg up. Consequently, most staff would burn out in a year and leave by either being bullied out the door or simply unable to manage their degrading mental health. Don't be fooled into thing this is an exciting place to start, or has a "start up" feel. It doesn't. One board member once told the team, when they were asked on how they manage the challenges of the week "just accept the attrition, I personally enjoy it more" Interestingly, it seems like the company has organised a coordinated effort to hide the old reviews.
