Pros
Free Coffee. Paid Insurance. VP of R&D is intelligent. (Should have him train the sales team with his antibody seminars) Hard working employees. Great reagents.
Cons
This company had potential to bypass the large corporations but failed miserably due to the horrible decision making , aggressive attitudes, bad leadership, unproductive directors and no heart for their employees. I would love to write that they are a successful and productive company but feel they make poor decisions and do not listen to anyone but the wrong people. They take on new challenges without enough planning and resources to support them and then dump responsibility on the sales team to learn on their own and sell. They set you up to fail not succeed. Wrong approach. Horrible communication among the hierarchy. PhD's are not always the best fit for director rolls. .001% bonus along with an email from CEO on how one does not deserve a bonus. Salaries are mediocre-unless you have a PhD or are schooled? Word of advice: Not all PhD's are suited to fill certain positions. Get to know all your employees. Individuality is one part of success. Low opportunities for training. Key information isn't shared among departments. Fail. They jump to conclusions without evidence. Fail. Poor career advancement and occasionally deliberately holding people back due to political reasons. Thankless.
