Bit Bio Response
9moThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you highlighted the dedication and expertise of our scientific teams and the strength of our facilities — these remain some of our greatest assets.
We also want to acknowledge your concerns regarding leadership transitions and organisational changes. The past two years have been a very challenging time across the biotech sector, with many companies facing closures or significant restructuring. At bit.bio, we have had to make difficult decisions to secure the company’s future and focus resources where they will have the greatest long-term impact.
Regarding redundancies, it is important to clarify that while HR plays a supporting role, these decisions are made at the executive level. HR’s responsibility is to ensure the process is carried out fairly, respectfully, and with support for those affected. These processes were conducted with transparency, and as much detail as could be shared at the time was communicated directly by the Executive team. Given the financial status of the organisation, we were unable to provide enhanced packages, but all statutory requirements were met. In addition, we offered LinkedIn learning training, CV and interview support, and proactively shared CVs with other organisations to help colleagues transition into new opportunities.
We understand the impact such changes have on morale and on individuals personally. While these steps cannot take away the difficulty of redundancies, they reflect our commitment to supporting colleagues as best we can under the circumstances.
bit.bio remains deeply committed to its mission of accelerating biomedical innovation through cell coding technology, and we continue to focus on building a sustainable path forward where employees feel valued and supported.
