Pros

Comprehensive health insurance and generous bonus when bitcoin is up. Office management also organises a lot of events for the company. Friendly coworkers and work environment. No mandatory layoff/PIP for low performers in the past few years (e.g bottom 5-10% have to be cut). Work load is also managable, great place to be if you want to be comfortable.

Cons

No clear structure unlike other tech companies. Chinese is required for speaking and writing. Management has a clear preference for people who OT. Performance reviews are not transparent and with no clear KPI or goals set prior to performance review, so grading can be based on arbitary factors like whether the person OTs or not. There are also a lot of workers that have been with the company for a long time that are no longer up to standard anymore but are still kept around due to no mandatory action for low performers. Management would rather keep the low performers around and pivot them to other functionalities instead of removing them. Not much room for growth.

Pros

Really great team of professionals. Everyone Ive worked with is engaged and aligned to the company mission and vision and I believe the sky is the limit with Bitdeer's potential in the mining space!

Cons

The only con is the time difference between the US and Signapore team so meetings can often happen very early or very late

Pros

Decent pay, great bonuses, plenty of OT available. Camaraderie among coworkers and some stellar managers who care.

Cons

Promises of advancement, at least on the US side of operations are a carrot on a stick. Lots of weird office politics and gossip, and nepotism in management. Proper PPE is never used. Even after an accident involving a man falling four stories from a lift, I never saw a single harness being used.
