Pros
In the past two years, I've watched Bloom Intelligence go from just three dedicated staff to more ten, plus a few interns. The technology is solid, the backers sound, and the future is bright for this company that plays at the nexus of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. The best part of working for Bloom is the company culture. It is a flat organization, and everyone's voice is expected to be heard. Teamwork is essential to moving forward, and the company is made up of committed people who leave their egos at the door and get the job done.
Cons
The industry is moving fast, and this company is moving faster. Consequently, it's not a good fit for people who need a lot of day-to-day supervision. Employees must be self-directed and be able to make good decisions quickly without needing approval for every little thing. Compensation is lower than industry average, but that is expected for an early-stage company that is built to scale quickly.
