Most teams have a lot of legacy code written by people who've only ever worked at Bloomberg The whole talk about a meritocracy is all BS. Your manager is your judge, jury and executioner. If your manager likes you, then you're in good stead. If he/she doesn't, then you're screwed No real company vision
