Pros
As long as Girish Rishi was the CEO of BY, the work life balance was well maintained and compensation was also good. But now I can't find any PROs.
Cons
Multiple - 1. The companies policies drastically changed after quitting of Girish Rishi. There were multiple leadership changes and so many top level people resigned within very short time, including the newly appointed ones. Among these were 1) Mark Mogran, the then interim CEO, 2)Massimo Capoccia etc. Clearly it was evident that there were conflicts of interest at the top level. 2) Company nowadays solely focus on "Great place to work" surveys and not on reviewing the actual policies on Employee benefits. Basic amenities like TT tables, gym etc have been removed from workplace. Also the number of floors have been reduced from 3 to 1, yet managers ask employees to come to office. Clearly there is not enough space for people to sit and work if majority show up in office in a single day. The cafeteria is even smaller. Plus very poor options of food available. 3) For last 3+ years, every year, we hear the same story - company not making profits, so hikes are cut , bonus is cut. Yet surprisingly the company has enough money to fund business travel of USA associates to India multiple times a year, and also the company magically finds funds to acquire new organizations. 3) Almost every single application has very basic UI. In today's world, where we see such rich UI and UX everywhere, I feel that the UI of many of our apps are still stuck in 2010. Clearly the organization doesn't focus on hiring better UX designers or push existing ones for better UI. 4) Every technology here is being abstracted in the excuse of "standardization" . Thus it's very difficult for lot of employees to learn new things which are not internal to Blueyonder. 5) Very poor employee benefits - No annual health checkups, No gym fee reimbursement policy, Very very less budget for team outings - the budget is so less that people can barely go for a lunch in a normal restaurant and if we plan for extra activities, we need to pay from our own pockets. 6) Very less opportunity for Indian associates to go abroad. 7) No compensation provided for taking interviews. Yet no concession given on the sprint work that is allotted. We are being pulled into so many useless meetings everyday and that impact our work , and that's why we need to slog beyond working hours to finish the sprint work. The list can keep going on and on....
