You are basically left alone if you are a sub and forgotten about which is both good and bad.

If you are a sub your will never experience recognition of any kind or be given opportunities for career growth. Pay raises went from 6-8% a year at my heritage company down to 2-3% after the acquisition of my heritage company. They cut the $1600 HSA and vacation payout down from no cap in a year down to a max payout of 120 hours a year. After doing the math I literally was losing money with all the changes and a 3% raise accounting for inflation and taxes. I had no choice but to leave. Don't count on the equity plan from AVAV to be good to make up for the bad pay increases their stock is down 30+% and will drop further if the war in Ukraine stops. The only thing upper management cares about is buying companies. They have no original innovative ideas, they just use private equity capital to buy up companies and accumulate market share.
