Pros

You can't be negative here or you're going to get nowhere. I'm lucky to have really great people on my team who I work with everyday and who I can depend on. I realize that other teams might not be so lucky. Bluefly has a start-up environment which means all hands on deck...your effort actually has a great affect on the success of the company. Being here has taught me a lot in terms of working in the retail fashion industry and just overall time management, organization, and interpersonal skills. Should I ever move on in the future, I believe that I would be equipped to do so ten fold.

Cons

Like I said, I have a great team, but I do have some gripes with the accountability of other teams. It seems like there isn't really a standard held across the entire company which can make it frustrating and hard to do my job sometimes. My team tends to pick up the slack a lot and management seems to be okay with this more than I would like. Despite this, I do think that it has gotten significantly better since I've started, and steps are still being actively taken to improve this issue. I am optimistic that we will get to a place where everyone will eventually be on the same page.

Pros

There is a tremendous opportunity to generate and implement ideas that will help the business if you are willing to put the work in. My team is also full of energy and makes sure to bring "it" every day. They bring the energy, work ethic and the ability to hold it together when other teams cannot. It is also nice to see the development of company culture although there is still a long way to go. HR is definitely making up for lost time! Management also does a good job at demonstrating that they care about those who do give their all to the company.

Cons

Work life balance can be a bit of a challenge due to daily workload and reactive nature of the business. If all teams were on board productivity during the day would probably help ease this problem. There are also a number of individuals caught up in negative mindsets about the company. Long story short..too many complaints not enough proactive employees willing to commit to developing company culture nor a happier workplace.
