Pros

BombBomb has a great combination of really interesting smart people, always willing to chip in and collaborate with you to accomplish goals. This befits a small company with unclear roles and responsibilities so every initiative generally requires an "all-hands" approach to doing something. The company culture is casual, and the communication from the CEO is frequent and motivating, even if a bit sugar coated.

Cons

1. So much random "agility" from a product and marketing perspective that sales and other functions are almost always in the dark in terms of how to sell or go to market. This makes it impossible to make bigger plays in the ecosystem as you can't make any commitments to both internal teams and potential partners. 2. Systems and organizational processes are a mess - despite numerous workshops and problem solving sessions where the problems are well identified, but rarely action in a way that provides relief. 3. Data and measurement aren't just problematic, they are absent. There's also a shield between the CEO/President and the teams that run those responsible for plans, so line leaders are often left in the dark. 4. The CEO is available and approachable, but rarely present and tends to take over any group discussion with his opinion that everyone defers to.

Pros

Amazing team culture! Everyone works well with each other. Sometimes companies need to pivot, and that's okay! They know who to keep around, as long as you say "yes" and can fit in with the crowd, they'll keep you around. It probably also helps to not have a large salary.

Cons

Layoffs left and right, but it's for the greater good.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback — we genuinely appreciate your insights. We're glad that you feel our team culture is amazing and collaborative. We strive to maintain an inclusive environment that embraces diversity of all kinds, including religious diversity. While we deeply respect everyone's personal beliefs, it's important for us to clarify that our organization is committed to welcoming and supporting individuals from all backgrounds and faiths equally. We also recognize that periods of pivoting and change can be challenging, and we greatly appreciate your observations about employee retention and recent adjustments. Please know these decisions were thoughtfully made to align with our strategic goals, enhance our team's skillset, and position us for sustainable growth. Salary does not determine one's value or tenure at BombBomb — we strongly believe in rewarding talent, commitment and contribution. We are now actively hiring new roles to match our exciting vision for the future and are optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Thanks again for your review — your input is important and we appreciate the feedback.

Pros

Pretty good culture. I think leadership generally cared about people and doing the right thing but maybe made some bad calls from time to time.

Cons

Success, status, promotions, influence, etc was too much of a popularity contest. There were people who were the favorites who had doors opened for them, who had big influence on decisions, and who were promoted regularly based largely on how likeable they were and how much they buddied up to senior management. I'll say this wasn't extreme or obnoxious, but it was definitely noticeable and is something I heard multiple coworkers observe as well.

Thank you for sharing your input and for doing so with thoughtfulness and nuance. We appreciate that you recognized the genuine care leadership had and continues to have for our people, even while naming something that fell short of the standard we hold ourselves to. We take your feedback regarding consistency and fairness in recognition and promotion to heart. We feel strongly that advancement should be driven by merit, contribution, and clearly defined criteria, not by relationships or visibility. Our leadership and team structure have undergone significant changes, bringing a genuine recommitment to building transparent and equitable processes. We've been focused on establishing clearer frameworks for how decisions around promotion and influence are made, so that every employee has a fair path forward regardless of tenure or relationships. We're grateful for your candor as this is the kind of feedback that helps us reflect and hold ourselves accountable. We wish you well as you progress in your career.
