Pros
I actually really enjoyed the way the store worked and how they handled some things.
Good discount - 35%
A lot of ARCs and free books
Day 1 of training is at the corporate office which can be a pro or con depending on how you look at it
Cons
I was blatantly told multiple times that one person would be my store manager when only days after I had started working at the store an email went out to all staff that the management would be changing and corporate had this planned well before I was hired.
The store manager I had was actually causing problems for most of the staff and openly laughed at me in mockery in front of customers and employees.
Once I quit I sent an email to the new CEO with the reasons I quit and I was basically told the basic “thanks for emailing”
No one there had seemed to have gotten a raise, ever. The only person making more than $15/hour is the Store Manager because legally you only have to pay a manager more than minimum wage.
Doesn’t seem like there’s much room to grow unless you happen to be a favorite even if you have prior experience in what their looking for.
Corporate doesn’t seem to care about their employees.
