Pros
Fun and interesting employees, good benefits (holidays, vacation, med, dental, etc.). Adequate facilities/sites. Good quality products with a few acquired outliers that make a good difference in peoples' lives.
Cons
Only lip-service to quality, and lack of understanding and seriousness regarding compliance with regulations. Middle-management fiddles while Rome burns, and upper-management accepts the sterilized data they're given. No room for excellent, experienced workers who understand the company and the industry, and they are systematically and periodically let go in waves of layoffs every year. Experienced workers are traded up for inexperienced workers at all professional levels/areas without the experience and history to call out their superiors' incompetence, and decision-making is based on cronyism. Business-as-usual is the mantra, and as is typical of large businesses since 2008 they are more interested in squeezing more hours and effort out of current employees to expand profits and bonuses than improving systems/processes or hiring additional workers for expansion.
