Pros
Build relationships with families & children See progress with children Good learning experience for child development Honestly, I can't think of any more "pros" to this position.
Cons
Unorganized Chaotic UNCLEAR JOB REQUIREMENTS Little corporate support Inconsistent schedule Long hours Emotionally taxing Franchisees barely involved Very little training Compensation does not match performance expectations This place. If you can't sell, don't even bother. The focus should be on helping families but corporate is only focused on making money. You are expected to sit and look at a family who is desperate and tell them you can fix their child for $6k-15k. Ridiculous. You'd think they would focus on training you if they are charging so much but you're basically just left to your own devices. Let's not even talk about the organization (or lack there of)! The schedule is inconsistent so if you have a family, or life outside of work, this is not the place for you. Some weeks you work 25 hours, the next 50. And when you are being paid hourly for a "full time" position, your pay checks are inconsistent too. The science behind the program is not backed up. Hardly any studies. The assessment results are prone to skewing and again, inconsistent. Leaving you feeling like you are lying to vulnerable parents over and over again. It's sad.
