The best way to describe the culture is elitist with sexist and racist undertones. I often felt like I was actively working to ensure POC and women were second class citizens. There is a high turnover rate, which is hidden by the fact that a few staffers have been there for 7+ years, but most people leave within a year or so. There is not a lot of accountability for senior leadership, which leads to an environment where staff often feel disrespected or devalued.
