Pros

Stability & decent pay, representing great brands for well established suppliers. Used to have great medical benefits. Well known distributor in the market

Cons

MDP candidates will always get the promotions & the better positions no matter how hard you work. So it's only a good job if you don't want to ever want to advance. If you want to have the same job for stability & never move up, this is definitely the company for you.

Thank you for your feedback. Here at Breakthru we are very proud of our Management Development Program, (MDP). It offers excellent opportunities for recent graduates to collect a variety of experience in an expedited manner within sales management or operations. The program is competitive and those who are accepted have demonstrated nascent talent and potential, which we then seek to nurture through experiences and coaching. While the programming is coordinated by our human resources department, this is primarily because these associates move frequently, are assessed regularly and receive a host of training—all activities handled by human resources. We keep our Management development Program associates extremely busy, and we hope that their attention is primarily focused on their own development. Many of these associates move into roles with our suppliers where they gain even more valuable experience. We believe that Breakthru, our partners and the industry as a whole benefits from developing this talent, while we continue to place a high value on our talent who have taken a different path and developed excellent skills, perspective and relationships through their careers.

Flexible hours, co-workers, work semi- independently.

Cons

NO job security! you can be let go anytime they want to do a "restructure". UNREALISTIC data driven goals, they're still working off COVID numbers and don't want to settle back down to reality, basically greed. Pay sucks, you can't get a place to live on your own with the compensation they offer, and the cost for the wear and tear on your vehicle is astounding, the competitors pay better. You're just a number that's micro-managed and they constantly let go of good employees that are making somewhat decent income for the work they put in and replace them with new ones that are paid significantly less with poor work ethics. It's a revolving door. There is no future for sales reps in this company as they are heading to e-commerce to eliminate actual bodies that physically go into stores and engage with owners and managers. How can this be a "best managed company" when there are constant labor disputes, strikes, layoffs, and restructurings? Use to be a good company to work for, once upon a time.
