Pros
This job had many pros, such as amazing coworkers, great management, and more support than one needs. The office has an amazing view of both Chicago and even sometimes Indiana and is always filled with snacks and coffee. The office building itself has many amenities for food, entertainment and exercise that can be taken advantage of on a 45-minute lunch break. If one uses the train to commute to the city, there is a shuttle that will take one to either Ogilvie or Union train station for free. The position has good pay, while the work is fulfilling and not too difficult. There is both a salary aspect of the pay as well as a commission structure to keep you motivated. Bridge Legal is a very innovative company with some very professional, charismatic, kind and hardworking people behind it that I have no doubt is going to succeed. If this is your type of work, Bridge Legal is worth serious consideration.
Cons
One of the only cons of this job is how serious some of the subject matters are, which is an aspect of being an intake consultant anywhere. While you do hear some serious subject matters, you are helping and actively seeking justice for those who have been harmed. The job structure in this position is created to give those with less experience, less exposure to the sensitive nature of these mass tort claims and is made so that those who have more experience have more exposure to those sensitive, in-depth aspects of a claim. This structure is nice because it allows those without experience to gain experience without impacting anyone’s claim, while saving those who have the experience to ask those sensitive questions to do so. Therefore, making sure both new employees get experience, while making sure that client’s claims are both best represented and handled appropriately.
