Pros
- All the typical benefits of working for a big company like healthcare, social events, etc.
Cons
- Everyone in the company is in self-preservation mode. People will only help you if it makes them look good, and no one is willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of the company - Executive team cannot agree on anything so they identify lots of projects every quarter, tell their teams different things and then forget which projects they were supposed to do by the end of the quarter anyways. - Last real goal set failed spectacularly, suffering from a classic case of using the wrong metric to measure success. - No transparency with non-manager employees on what the vision is, what the current financial standing is, how the financial projections were made up, etc. - Overall the company suffers from a general lack of understanding of how to use data and treating their people as 'resources' instead of 'human beings'.
