Pros
I was encouraged and empowered to think big, try new things, and take on major projects from the very beginning. Got amazing experience and felt cheered on along the way. When I was just starting out and many fellow young professionals were doing busywork, I was getting my hands dirty, and I feel grateful for the opportunities I had here. Also, great location right on the Bowery. Lots of good lunch options and spectacular people-watching.
Cons
I was trusted with a creative director’s tasks (and I worked creative director’s hours) but I was paid like an intern. My last freelance check never came, even after a reminder. I know many agencies have this problem, but I expected better from an agency known for expertise in venture capital.
