Cons
There are no opportunities for growth or advancement for manufacturing employees, particularly if you are a technician in operations department or and inspector in quality department. These are entry-level positions that do not offer career advancement. because the company doesn't invest in employee development. Some people have been working in the same position for 8 plus years. For some people that may be fine, but if you are looking for something more this company may not be a good fit for you. You are expected to perform mundane repetitive task and not necessarily valued for your intellect or experience. Management doesn't communicate effectively and tend to favor some people over others. They will implement rules and policies without adequately explaining it to employees. They make you feel like you're a troublemaker if you raise questions, ask for further explanation, or suggest changes to be made. There is vast wage gap among employees in the same position because the company doesn't have a standard compensation index, meaning that someone else doing the same job as you could be making significantly more than you.
