Pros
BDG is a company comprised of wonderfully talented and creative individuals who are passionate about their work.
Cons
BDG owns several digital media brands, but heavily silos brands and departments so communication and transparency are heavily restricted. While the opportunity to work creatively with an impassioned team is great, I've never felt so mismanaged and misunderstood by higher-ups at a company. There have been four rounds of layoffs in the last 6 months while CEO Bryan Goldberg (a man who willingly bought one of Napoleon's hats for $1.4m at the end of 2021) has bragged on podcasts and in the media about the company being in a great place financially. Management has also repeatedly delayed and refused negotiations with the BDG union, which has been attempting to negotiate a fair contract for employees for over two years now. BDG offers a lot of great opportunities on paper, but from my experience... they are not at all worth it.
