Pros

The people you work with are very nice and knowledgeable.

Cons

- For a company this size things move very slow, often months go by before decisions can be made. - The company has no future with this business model that doesn’t work and guided by a leadership team that don’t know what they are doing. - Not a real tech company or any innovation in here, most of the work is repackaging existing stuff. - The leadership doesn’t listen to its employees or data about their product. - No real direction, the management loves to go after moonshots without any strategy which leads to nothing. A big chunk of projects start and never go anywhere because there is no real strategy or market for the product. - There is no actual recognition of work, the most you can expect are some shoutouts but come performance review time everyone gets a measly 1-3% and usually little to no stock. - Salaries for software engineers are not at all competitive with the market and the benifits keep steadily getting worse year after year. No real incentive to stay long term. - Every 6 months or so the company goes through a series of cost cutting measures/layoffs to save money for executive’s multimillion $ pay packages. The most recent round in July 24 fired over 50-60 of my coworkers to offshore their work and save 20 million $ while the top 4 execs made over that much for their compensation,

Pros

You feel like your work is furthing the mission of democracitizing Healthcare. Even if you weren't directly connected to engineering or medicine.

Cons

Leadership overspent and scaled too quickly, resulting in several rounds of layoffs that hurt morale and focus. The company SPAC’d before it was ready and continues to face financial challenges. Outsourcing critical areas like hardware, firmware, mobile, and data systems weakened execution and innovation. Strategic direction has felt reactive rather than long-term.
