Pros
The pros were got to work remotely for almost a year, PTO was good The company through which I was hired to work at DOS was extremely good but CACI was OK as I was not a direct hire and was a sub-contractor
Cons
The parking facility is not good. Each time you pay to park so I was losing more traveling. The bathroom is outside the facility so each time you go, the door is locked and you have to reopen the door to come back inside The water facility is down to the 8th floor and I worked on 17th floor where they dont have any water available The remote work chance was gone after the leadership decided they want to see more people in the office If I could give 0 stars I would. I was hired to do DevOps work in Azure Pipelines but I was told to do some database related work. My title was Jira/DevOps Admin and was thinking that I will be working with Jira and DevOps but worked on database (SQL and Oracle) not my experience and locking down the servers using DSC which is not my field. Forced myself to learn because no one knew and the team was not helpful. I was feeling like people stab in the back My experience was not great however because I was asked to do things and I cant say no because of my sub-contracting work. The real direct hires could say whatever they want. I was asked to do something while someone shadows me. The person checked my work and I ran it. It blew up and my name was showing up because I hit ok even though someone gave me a go ahead. The leadership put the blame on me so they did not have to take. They ghosted me later and stopped giving me the work. I knew something was up but could not find out because later I got the access which they revoked and after a few days later, learned that they stabbed me in the back when they contacted my real company to let them know that I am fired.
