Pros

Great entry role for freshly graduated professionals who are looking to get their foot in the door with experience. This can range from sales, admin work, camera work, social interactions, navigating tough conversations, building connections, and rapport with your coworkers. You will work with a diverse group of coworkers, but in general everyone is young due to the low pay. Witnessing the talent that come from the photographers and how it is capture is awesome. Being a part of the journey and the experience. Working with multiple departments and creatives.

Cons

This company is one of those hard pills to swallow. You gravitate in because you see promotional photos of everyone so happy, full of diversity, and it appears everyone loves their job. This is all a facade. You will find the unicorns who have worked for this company for more than a few years because they either stay under the radar or they are just so good at drinking the koolaid. There are several managers who are like that. The most useless people, but they are good at faking their work. They are the company's favorites because they show the culture they want to have. The company pressures everyone to fit a certain mold, expectations, and it is a cult. You can have fun researching, but it looks like they did some damage control. The company feeds off of using and disposing their top talent. Ask them what their average employee tenure is, and you would gag at the thought. They want people to be the face of their company, use them for their talents, and immediately dispose of them for no real reason. They love threatening write ups and their at will employment policy. I have heard so many horror stories of people at C level or at the Studios being terminated without any type of coaching process. These people have no idea what it means to be professional, so if you are someone who loves policies, just save yourself the headache. If you come from a real professional business and make your way here, you will be appalled by the amount of cursing and slurs used. Nepotism is rampant. All Senior positions are filled by the family, which is a given for a family owned business. If you work at the studios, your day to day is trying to save the company from the booking site. CADY preys on the fact that all parents will pawn off their senior booking to a teenager. You will see parents have mental breakdowns because they were lied to and digital acknowledged the terms and conditions that they legally can't get out of. That they didn't see all the information and CADY knows that these people don't have desktop computers. On my end, it was constant calls of dissatisfaction of service, product, and a high cost of product. Parents at a loss for the high cost that they are trapped in. The outrage by the surprise charges on their card that they failed to read. You will witness inexperience photographers ruin photo sessions by their lack of attention to details. You will witness good people being eaten alive and spit out as if they were nothing. They will showboat their "face of the company" for a few months and will burn them out. If you are someone okay with the lies, deceit, unethical behaviors of your coworkers, and will be okay with being borderline evil. This is the perfect place for you. Maybe you have done enough "faking it til you make it" to make this place tolerable for you. If you are a good human with actual morals and core values, stay as far away as you can or make it temporary. This is not the place for you. There is no such thing as structured training. You are better off at a globally known business who will teach you your job versus throwing you in. Don't try looking for policies and procedures, they don't exist. Also HR who? *crickets in the background*.

Pros

Great stepping stone to something better.

Cons

CADY appears to be led by individuals who lack a clear understanding of how to effectively run a business. The company promotes a “welcoming” culture, but in practice, it often feels performative and rooted in outdated or uncomfortable approaches. The environment within the Innovation Center is consistently tense. Teams frequently experience internal friction, and HR maintains a highly visible presence that can feel more like surveillance than support. In October 2025, Josh Cady abruptly eliminated the work-from-home policy with no transition period. This decision left many employees scrambling to adjust, particularly those who relied on remote flexibility for childcare and other responsibilities. The PTO policy is notably limited for a company of this size, and the absence of dedicated sick days only adds to employee strain. Removing remote work mid-year, while offering minimal time off, reflects a lack of consideration for employee well-being. Daily interactions can also feel forced. For example, employees are greeted each morning by HR in a way that often comes across as insincere rather than welcoming. Overall, CADY feels disorganized, undercompensates its employees, and provides minimal benefits, contributing to a challenging and unsupportive work environment.
