Pros

CASA's mission is incredible and the amazing case work supervisors literally keep that place running.

Cons

CASA of Denton County has significant management issues. There is no HR department which makes addressing any complaints as an employee extremely difficult without placing a target on your back. Additionally, all the upper management are close friends and don't respond positively to feedback. They've done things one way for 20 years and any deviance from that is immediately stopped. They treat their lower level employees like they're disposable which results in high turnover rates and low employee satisfaction. There is a complete lack of diversity and inclusivity at CASA of Denton County and any attempts that are being made towards diversity are only being done so in order to placate United Way who gives CASA grants and is demanding greater diversity. People of color are often treated as tokens and not valued for the diverse experiences and ideas that they bring.
