Pros

Ongoing hybrid work schedule and full benefits.

Cons

Very indirect work with foster care and juvenile justice youth- those with a desire to work directly with the youth, need to look elsewhere. Program staff's work mostly consists of communicating and collaborating with unpaid, mostly white middle-upper class volunteers who are doing the brunt of the work. Upper management consists mostly of priviledged persons who are out of touch with the community they are working in and foster care youth. Meetings between management and board are gate kept, leaving the rest of the program staff out of the converations. There is far too much micromanaging, racial microaggressions and unnecessary drama. The amount of emotional labor experiened is not worth the time or the pay. This organization only contributes to the bureaucracy between the legal and welfare systems youth are navigating.
