I started off as a Lab aid, however was offered multiple potential upward transfers within a few months of working there. Additionally, they offered to cover the requirements of me being certified as a Histology technician. The atmosphere was great, people were friendly, hours were good, and employees felt heard.

Tuesday-Saturday schedule, occasional overtime required, time off requests required extra paper work, very little interaction with senior management.

The company is a small but growing company that has high demands and because of this people work to make things fun. You get to know the people and it becomes a family. It is great knowing that you are helping people become healthier by giving them test results.

The hours are long if you are in the laboratory, you cannot leave until the work is finished because of the turn around times. (sometimes 15+ hour days on a weekly basis). Not much career growth. People were promised raises after obtaining certifications and they were not received.
