Pros
Fellow employees are supportive. Immediate manager supportive. Actual nature of work was engaging, exciting and cutting edge. I learned a lot about good content management of a website and picked up many tricks for good business practices in general. Most certainly a learning experience. I look at this job as a boot camp. Some place you go for a short time, work like a dog, bleed, sweat and cry, then leave for something better where you'll have respect.
Cons
Very little recognition for accomplishments. No raise to speak of in the over 2 1/2 years I was there, despite the fact I was in the top 10% for performance on my team. Worked hard and long and it was never good enough. Upper management completely disengaged from workers. HR has no presence in workers lives. Managers are quick to point out mistakes and broadcast them. Yet rarely give credit for good work. Zero trust from management. Though I performed admirably up to the end, I always felt I was one step away from the chopping block. Lived every day in fear of what nasty feedback I'd receive.
