Pros

We’ve just returned from our summer retreat in Brighton, which was a great opportunity to spend time with colleagues across the business. I’ve noticed that CF is actively listening to employee feedback and making meaningful changes to support talent retention. A recent example is reducing the in-office requirement from 4 to 3 days, which has introduced more flexibility. There was a noticeable wave of departures late last year. However, the new joiners have been a strong addition to the team. They are not only capable but also great to work with. The culture is collaborative and supportive. Even the senior leadership team are approachable and grounded, despite their demanding schedules. Some of the more negative reviews may reflect one-off experiences rather than the day-to-day reality but I am not one to discount other people's opinions. As a woman, I also appreciate the strong representation of women in leadership. The CEO stands out as a knowledgeable and confident person who is also approachable and talks lovingly about her children. It is encouraging to see this kind of leadership at the top of the organisation.

Cons

Some foundational work structures and processes are either missing or not consistently implemented Onboarding and training sessions are often delayed or cancelled, which means new joiners and junior team members largely rely on themselves to get up to speed

Pros

Interesting work, decent pay, some really great colleague

Cons

Projects didn’t feel like their timelines were realistic or planned for success, which often led to a lot of stress and late working. It also felt like the culture had clear favourites that were rewarded and had greater recognition. Some partners were better to work with than others.

Pros

There is some access to bonuses and occasional learning opportunities. However, these benefits come at a significant cost to wellbeing, work-life balance, and mental health

Cons

Expectations are consistently unrealistic, and unprofessional behaviour comes from the very top. This behaviour is not only tolerated but mirrored by promoted partners, which reinforces a culture where poor leadership is normalised rather than challenged. There is also a noticeable sense of arrogance, as though employees should feel privileged simply to work there. In reality, that narrative feels completely disconnected from the company’s reputation in the market. The business would benefit from a serious culture reset, greater humility, and a leadership team willing to acknowledge that respect has to be earned, not assumed.
