Good benefits but compensation ≠ workload - Hotel Account Specialist CLC Lodging Employee Review

Pros

The benefits were pretty good, you can find some really cool coworkers and create real bonds with them. Easy to get your incentive if they don't pile on a new position onto the one you actually applied for.

Cons

The workload they expect you to complete within a 40 hour week is unreasonable. Corpay is constantly absorbing new companies which creates new projects for the account specialists. They will expect you to complete your normal (already overwhelming) amount of work and complete all of the tasks of another position without allowing OT or bonuses. Directors are very out of touch with their employees. Hotels use account managers as verbal punching bags. Poor morals when it comes to late payments for the hotels. Lots of hotels lose out on thousands of dollars due to poor training from overworked account managers or lack of information shared to hotel owners during transitions.

Pros

PTO, sick, and personal time off Insurance is affordable and offers good coverage Some management is flexible and great to work under, just depends on what department you enter in under Referral bonus of $500 for entry level staff once the referral meets their 90-day employment window

Cons

There is no accountability for issues that make it hard to complete your assigned tasks Very low pay with minimal annual raises of 3-5% in comparison to other companies who hold the same type of job position Upper management is not the friendliest nor helpful in guiding their managers well which results in disorganization and mis-management of the teams they are supposed to oversee 80% of all the departments require 100% in office attendance, While during the pandemic our Sales force moved to 100% remote. All jobs are computer based. While CLC should offer a consistent standard across the company to allow for hybrid and remote work scheduling.
