Nominal base salary (though I've heard this has changed). Lots of freedom to decide how to build your business
Cons
The industry has changed, transactional sales is necessary unless you have a solid network of high net-worth people wanting to buy a lot of life insurance. Auto/Home insurance is so commoditized and dysfunctional that you're spending most of your time competing against other company prices and dealing with people upset with their billing and/or claims
