Pros

Culture, Benefits, Opportunities. The CU cares about their Members and Team Members. I came from a smaller CU where our CEO did not care about her employees and it showed to everyone. When we merged with CU SoCal it was like night and day. A CEO that stood out as caring and friendly, who would take the time to talk to you and make you feel like a person not just a number. Many opportunities and promotions that I wouldn't have had at my other CU.

Cons

Compensation was an issue in the past with team members not being paid what they were worth. However, CU SoCal is working on this and finally seeing that they need to pay value for good team members. Retention wasn't a priority in the past but that has seemed to change. CU SoCal is adapting to change and that is great.

Pros

The culture at CU SoCal fosters a deep sense of belonging. Team Members are encouraged to be their authentic selves, and that authenticity fuels trust and collaboration. There's a strong focus on growth not just professionally, but also personally. You're challenged but always have support. Successes are shared and celebrated. It's a place where you matter, your voice counts, and your presence makes a difference. That's what makes the culture meaningful to me.
