Pros
Opportunity to make commission, while also benefiting from a competitive base salary and health benefits. The culture is not 'Conde Nast", but it is designed to be competitive, while being supportive. Is it always going to be "fun"? No, it's a career and a job. Those who are not driven to succeed will quite simply not make it, this is true in any sales environment. There are people in place who's job it is to help those who need it, not everyone takes that hand.
Cons
This is not YOUR company, those who are in charge, and those who sign the paychecks have certain expectations and standards of performance. Not everyone can work for certain types of people, and here you will know if you can rather quickly. The fact is, they will also know rather quickly if you can, or can not do this job. There is a level of "micro management", and to get you to a level that YOU would be happy with, sometimes it takes taking a very close look at pipelines, and effort to see how you will fair in this environment.
The good news is, the checks clear, the doors are open, the opportunities are there to better your situation and no ones door is ever closed to those who seek help.
The truth is, this isn't the job, or career for everyone, it takes a certain type and mind set to succeed at this.
