Not Bad - Software Engineer IV Caesar Creek Software Employee Review

Keep in mind that I am older and have had more than a few job experiences. This is a truly unique and amazing company to work for. The owner goes out of his way to ensure that employees are taken care of to an extent I have never seen in any other company. This company has eaten every health care cost increase since I have been there (~10 yrs). How many other companies can say that? A mid cycle cost of living increase was provided for every employee during the period of high inflation a few years ago. I have never experienced anything like that from previous employers. The continued growth path this company is on can be significantly attributed to how its people are treated. The word gets out and others will want to work for you. Admittedly, it is difficult to get hired by this company and the interview process is the most thorough that I have ever been through. However, this is necessary as the work is quite challenging but also rewarding. I’ve had good benefits before and still been taken advantage of and had bad experiences. Unfortunately, some of the younger employees hired with a year or less since graduating simply don’t have the life experience to identify what a unique place this is to work. This company is much more than its obviously great benefits.

Challenging work that will push you hard to continue to learn. Obviously not really a negative for many people but its not for everyone.

I've never seen benefits quite like what they offer. 100% medical and dental coverage with a hefty HSA contribution, 15% 401K/ESOP contribution, free snacks and drinks (and there are a TON of options), freshly popped popcorn every day, and company credit card for travel and other expenses. On top of that, the work these incredibly smart engineers are doing is SUPER COOL!

Pro to some, con to others, but small company so not many processes defined, other than what is required by the state or contracts.
