Pros

Coworkers are nice for the most part. She management are nice.

Cons

Depending on the location, most of the staff you work with are great and friendly. I'm still friends with people I worked with there. But the management is not good. They're rude and unkind and they play favorites. They can say they don't, but it happens no matter where you go. They're nit picky about your shoes and your hair and your clothes, but jeans and a black shirt isn't that hard, in their defense. You can't get anywhere unless they REALLY REALLY like you. If you don't kiss managements behind, you're not getting anywhere. It's a toxic and hostile work environment and it's EXTREMELY stressful. The management make it that way. Not all managers are that way and if you get into a location where they're all great, consider yourself lucky. They don't hire full-time, it's ONLY part-time positions and it's very difficult to get ahead. If you're part-time there's NO BENEFITS of any kind.

Pros

Good part time job while going to school or to work at evenings/weekends while raising a family.

Cons

Pay scale is low and takes way too many hours (years) to get 10 cent raise. Not always easy to get a random weekend off. It takes a long time to get training in other areas other than the till, such as the cash office. Some staff are over worked and trained in many areas while others just work the till and can have a lot of down time - seems unfair for the same pay for those over worked and unfair to those who want to learn more but keep getting promised they will soon but never get scheduled to learn more.
