Pros
Healthcare day one is the only good thing.
Cons
None of the promises came true. There was no training nothing. I just worked my butt off and kept getting put off of getting flat rate or higher pay. They have no interest in actually training an apprentice, the body guys get a bonus after a certain amount of time then have no reason to keep training you. Multiple caliber employees told me there’s no point taking an apprentice unless they’re already 100% capable of working alone and have all the tools so then why would they even want to apprentice for less than a living wage at all? If you need new people to join the industry you have to pay a living wage while their starting out. No one can stick around this long not being able to make ends meet and anyone with that privilege sure ain’t doing it in the body shop they’ll go to college and make stable money in an office with ac. Nothing under 25 is livable, even in Baltimore. Your employees can’t give their best of learn and grow in the industry if they are literally hungry and in danger of losing their housing constantly. This isn’t sustainable.
