In all of the companies I've been at, there has been some degree of toxicity. I thought Calm would be different but it was off the charts toxic for me.
My time at Calm consisted of micromanagement, passive-aggressiveness, toxic positivity, and a complete lack of professionalism. I decided it wasn't worth my time to stay. I experienced nights of sleeplessness that then led to morning anxiety for weeks. No amount of meditation made me feel any better ironically.
Having a terrible manager that was manipulative and had no idea how to actually manage prompted me to finally leave. I shared my experiences before I left with executive leadership and HR.
