Pros
I've worked in the VR/AR industry for 5+ years. Seen a lot of good and bad in the industry, in terms of maturity of the companies and general startup battle stories. Camera IQ is by far the most developed in terms of product, employee support, culture and team. The co-founders, Sonia and Allison, are extraordinarily talented while staying super down to earth & personable. The company is well funded and you can tell. The 2 founders led sales through early 2021, they stay close to customers and have a solid understanding of the market. I've worked for a variety of founders, incl engineer founders who never did sales - I found Sonia/Allison's realistic view of where their company sits to be a breath of fresh air. (I saw a previous review on here of a Theranos comparison which made me actually lol because it's sooo far from my experience with Allison/Sonia.). The CIQ platform (core product) is really solid - as a sales person working in VR/AR for several years I have had to grind through the technical growth of this industry. It's been really nice to be selling something and demoing without constant fear of bugs. The product team and dev team have done a great job and kudos to founders for prioritizing product development. Lastly I know this is important when looking at startups: the team does respect work life balance which is also rare in fast growth startups. Most of Camera IQ execs have kids and need a flex work schedule and extend that respect to their reports/colleagues.
Cons
While you do have a ton of support, it's still a startup with aggressive growth targets so you do need to perform and get results quickly.
