Pros
Hotel discounts, developing great friendships with coworkers, and relaxed atmosphere. Learned a lot over the years of the importance of employee/manager development(not done here).
Cons
Extremely high turnover on lower level management. Lower level management does not get paid enough which is why it's difficult to find more qualified managers. The company does not understand performance management in regards to helping develop managers; a quick impersonal email is not how you develop trusting relationships. Corporate will always focus on the negative of how a store did not perform well one day, but disregard any appreciation for the managers and employees hard work on every other day. Many of your employees are busting their butts out there, when zero appreciation is shown, your employee moral decreases tremendously. With low employee moral, your business is affected negatively bc they don't care as much anymore. You need to understand your negativity flows downwards. It's unfortunate that out of the many people that have worked for this company in the past, few ppl have good things to say about it when you ask and practically tell others to run in the other direction.
