Pros

- excellent salary - nice team members - decent benefits

Cons

- despite a beautifully written and uplifting philosophy on paper, there is a definite mindset of executives vs. non-executives. For example, they have a paved parking lot for executives only, other employees must park in a gravel lot behind the building and not enter through front doors. One time an executive noticed me sitting under a tree on the front lawn at lunch and asked security to remove me from the property - until I proved I was an employee. I understand security, but a lot of their practices and policies made me feel like I was worth less than others. - some offices are located in poorly ventilated areas - one that had no air conditioning the summer I was there; the smells of chemicals and known asbestos in the building were concerning from a health standpoint - absolutely no work-life balance - sick time cannot be used for appointments even if they are medically necessary. This is true of employees who have been there for decades even. If you require time off for an appointment during the day, it is unpaid or you will be asked to use your vacation time. There were some employees that had to use vacation time in order to attend a retirement party for a colleague and others. Not the best environment for people with young families.

Pros

I'll get back to you on this when I finally get out of this place.

Cons

A Trip Down the Yellow Brick Road (to Nowhere) If I were to describe the leadership culture here in Broadway terms, it’s a production of Wicked where the villains are running the show. The Decision-Makers: If They Only Had a Brain The folks steering the ship are driven by an overwhelming insecurity. They seem to fear any competent person with a shred of ambition. Many of those elevated into leadership roles lack real-world experience, arriving fresh off a three-day "training" session that serves as little more than a "CBN Kool-Aid" brainwashing station. This lack of integrity trickles down from the very top. Cultural highlights include: Zero Boundaries: Expecting availability at 10 PM on a Sunday, then dismissing your actual contributions during the week. The Memory Hole: Making written promises and then lying to your face days later, claiming those promises never existed. #Gaslighting The Oversight: No Courage Like the Cowardly Lion, those meant to provide oversight and accountability are completely toothless. On paper, they are supposed to supervise and course-correct, but they lack the backbone to take action. I’ve seen them draft and sign off on documents full of fabrications to protect the status quo. When push comes to shove, they are complicit in enabling a nightmare environment. Human Resources: No Heart It’s a cliché that "HR is not your friend," but this team takes it to a new level of coldness. Even when presented with documented harassment and discrimination—the kind of issues that invite expensive lawsuits—they do absolutely nothing to protect the individual. Instead, they flip the script and engage in illegal retaliation.
