Pros

Ability to work on-air, make connections, most co workers are nice to work with. Depends which market you work in.

Cons

- Big disconnect between head office and reporters creates an 'ivory tower' sensibility. HR complaints are swept under the rug, and feedback is heard but nothing comes of it. Complaints are rarely addressed, and sometimes met with an "if they don't like it they can quit" attitude. - Not a good place for long-term growth. If you just want to get some quick experience it's actually not terrible, but the company counts on a quick turn-over rate. Corners are cut and jobs openings are absorbed. - Some of the equipment is top of the line, but studio and office spaces such as Vancouver and Toronto are sketchy at best.
