towards the end of my employment my area was very quiet and I spent nearly two weeks sitting in the van doing nothing or fitting door gaskets 80-100 miles away to pass time, real shame for such a fantastic company

Office staff / controllers ask too much of you, don't care about anything but when the job will be done. Hours can be unsociable but you have to learn to say "no" and not be taken for a muppet There is never any gratitude or praise for working hard to fill the pockets of others.
