Pros

Benefits were good Lots of learning opportunities building interesting and technical solutions. Direct teammates were capable and good to work with

Cons

As most of these reviews have already mentioned, leadership doesn't seem to understand ad space that well and is directionless. The last 3 CEOs have all been external and not promoted from within. This means they don't really understand the business position of Cardlytics nor any of underlying problems. Instead they make decisions without consulting their own SMEs and workers in the trenches. This leads to several months or even quarters of development on something that ends up being a boondoggle. Leadership also seems to be using this company to benefit themselves either with stock options or as a way to jump to another place with no real care to Cardlytics own future. Sadly no matter how amazing the employees are, if the leadership doesn't care, the company will have very poor long term prospects.

Pros

I’ve spent a majority of my career with Cardlytics and am impressed with its current state. The company is right-sized, efficient and poised for growth. The leadership team is amazing - they’ve turned the business around while keeping compensation and benefits in-tact. They truly care about their employees and it shows.

Cons

The business has had its challenges over the years. I left two times and have come back again. The current leadership team is one of the best teams I’ve had the privilege of working for.

Pros

Cardlytics offers a calm, structured environment with genuinely supportive cross-functional teams, Leadership is accessible and growth-oriented, with a clear focus on improving performance while valuing employees as the company's greatest asset. The culture emphasizes collaboration, especially during lean periods when teams pull together to manage workload, Key hires have helped balance responsibilities, and long hours are not the norm. Unlimited PTO is encouraged and actually used. The hybrid, remote-first model provides flexibility, with the option to work from the office for those who prefer in-person collaboration. The interview process was exceptionally organized and transparent, including a detailed portal outlining interviewers and discussion topics. It was one of the most thoughtful hiring experiences I have encountered.

Cons

There is a continued emphasis on efficiency and financial discipline, which requires adaptability as priorities evolve. During understaffed periods, workload can temporarily increase, though team collaboration helps mitigate this.
