Overly business-focused, in a bad way - Anonymous employee Cardpool Employee Review

Very top-down and overly business-focused management. As an employee in the technical side of the company, I got little respect and autonomy despite the importance of the system I was responsible for. Engineering management was technically inexperienced and also weak (or at least given very little autonomy as well). Investment in infrastructure was always deprioritized in favor of serving external requests that received few push-backs. All too often this lead to having engineers to repeatedly work on endless short-term fixes as opposed to building stable long-term solutions.
