A rewarding role, friendly clients, flexible hours, and decent pay for a 17 year old.
Cons
Unreasonable supervisors who lack empathy, I only phoned in sick once on the one occasion I was very poorly, and I was told I would be breaching my duty of care if I did not come in. I worried that I could pass something on to clients, so I did not go in. Lack of communication/organisation e.g. being given 5 minutes to walk to a call that was 20 minutes away, being given tasks on call that I was not trained in e.g. changing catheter bags. The rota staff had a copy of my availability but would put me in on the day I needed off for college and then would tell me no one could cover. Overall - unreasonable staff, dehumanising people and throwing them into the deep end without proper training or support.
