Pros
I want to emphasize that these concerns come from a place of wanting to improve our work environment and ultimately provide better care for our patients. I truly believe that by working together and having better communication, we can make this a place where staff feels supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
Cons
There’s a noticeable gap between the feedback we give from the ground level and the actions taken by management. We feel that our concerns and suggestions often go unheard, and this makes it difficult to continue providing the best care when we don’t have the support we need. Night shifts often face challenges like inadequate restocking of closets and supplies, and changes to patients are missed during 5 a.m. rounds. This creates a disruptive and inefficient workflow that affects both patient care and staff morale. One of the biggest issues we’re experiencing is a lack of communication between management and frontline staff. Decisions made without consulting those of us who are working directly with patients leads to confusion and unnecessary stress.
