Pros

Many of the staff are genuinely talented and really care about the work. Good benefits. Decent pay, but not enough.

Cons

Classic problematic nonprofit that leads with white saviorism. but is actually quite toxic. Inexperienced, shady leadership. No structure, or work life balance, and you're expected to work around the clock and continuously messaged to do more with no acknowledgement. During the interview, they pretended to be an org that embodies care. However, staff is treated poorly, and there is no accountability for management, who fired employees for starting a union. For an organization that claims to care, they don't seem like they do.

Pros

i have met some really amazing coworkers with a lot of heart

Cons

supervisors/managers get away with having half the year off and often throw employees under the bus. they fire people left and right. super high turnover. toxic environment and not fun. was fun when i first started but now it feels like they can fire anyone for any reason so employees are very stressed. no opportunities for raises or promotions unless you're already on the Management Team, otherwise it's very standard for employees go 3+ years without raises or promotions. MT consistently gets raises and promotions and they celebrate it in all staff meetings while everyone else is suffering. health insurance also is really bad. it's clear CAG is paying way less for insurance at the cost of employees. any employees with a disability, chronic condition, or emergency will need to pay BIG time.
