Pros
Insurance and benifits. That's it. And overtime if you want it....PLENTY of overtime.
Cons
Where do I begin? Plant management openly mocks employees. No air conditioning in the plant, only for office people. Temps approach 90 during summer months. Boss man may tell you 45 minutes before quitting time that you have to work over a hour or two. You often have to wait until Friday afternoon to find out if you have to work Saturday. And the employee parking lot is a joke. It's a half a mile from the plant entrance. You have to exit the plant, walk up the sidewalk next to a country road, then cross the road dodging traffic to get to your car. It's dangerous when it's icy and you get drenched when it's raining even with a unbrella. Office people get to park in front of plant. Running to your car at break or lunch is next to impossible due to time needed to reach your vehicle. When people from corporate come in bosses will actually schedule "dummy orders", non existing orders for easy to make products that will make it appear everything runs very smoothly and effortlessly. We are not even allowed to open the doors during the summer time to let a breeze in if corporate will be there. Just a bad place in general to work. They remind you daily that you don't matter.
