Pros

Super nice people from top to bottom, beautiful work space, convenient in-town location. I was brought in for seasonal work through a temp agency.

Cons

Thoroughly inadequate training for a complex job of customer care associate. Very hard to feel pride in my work when I knew I was doing it incorrectly. Company had clearly taken on more clients than they could service, and the result was unhappy callers and ignored customer care contacts - not good business practice. They need to be sure they have enough adequately trained staff before taking on more clients - they are already stretched too thin.

Pros

Great work culture. Everyone there wants to work together to make customers succeed.

Cons

Purchase from Blackhawk brought a lot of expected changes, but most local people lost their vision and purpose.

Pros

Interning at Cashstar was amazing. They really care about making sure you get the most out of the internship and are contributing to meaningful projects. Instead of having the interns work on their own isolated project all summer, Cashstar integrated the interns into the dev teams and allowed them to work on the same projects that the full-time software engineers were working on. We also switched teams a few times throughout the summer so we got a more complete perspective on the way different teams operated and the different projects they worked on. This greatly increased my confidence going forward in the software engineering industry. All of the engineers were always willing to help out and lend advice as well. Cashstar really made the interns feel like part of the team. Keep up the good work!

Cons

The way the internship is set up, the onus is on each dev team to find tickets that are meaningful projects but aren't too involved for an intern to do. This can sometimes be a hard balance to find, especially when a team is bogged down with other work. For the most part, the teams do a good job with picking the projects and they are always open to feedback.
