Pros
Transparency of opportunities and growth is always at the forefront whenever hiring or growth opportunities are presented within the company, which makes for great career paths you can adapt to internally. If you thrive in a workspace where you get to touch something new and different everyday, this pace and quality is definitely for you. Diversity and representation within company culture, is ever growing and highly encouraged. Casual and friendly environment, happy chatter happens often especially before larger meetings which helps create a constructive and happier environment before the real work begins. While it could be seen as a con by some, upper management taking on the responsibility for major production needs and reviews allows the teams to follow instructions directly and not spin wheels on a limited timeframe or make decisions without context.
Cons
Fast paced: youtube is unforgiving, and waits for absolutely no one. If you cannot handle 24-72 hour turn around times, this company is not one for you. Hyper detail oriented: this is only a con in my eyes because of how it can be taken in the wrong mindsets. On Youtube, to keep people feeling seen and engaged with you have to obsess over the small things which can feel like a big ask, especially at the rate of daily production. Understanding we're all human: even upper management can get overloaded which can trickle down where the teams feel it, that being said there is typically accountability for said shifts but negative sentiment can be a result.
Pros
I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with CatFace, the YouTube production company behind Aphmau. As a provider of corporate wellness services for their team, I have had the privilege to witness firsthand the incredible dedication and compassion that Jessica and Jason bring to their company.Jessica and Jason's commitment to their employees is truly exceptional. They have gone above and beyond by establishing a gym and implementing corporate wellness initiatives, demonstrating a genuine care for their team's well-being. What strikes me the most is their unwavering work ethic combined with their gentle and uplifting leadership style. Their passion for what they do, both individually and as a couple, is truly inspiring and uncommon in today's corporate world. At CatFace, the team effort mindset is evident in every aspect of their operation. It's clear that Jessica and Jason not only value hard work but also prioritize a supportive and nurturing work environment. Working with such a wonderful company has been a privilege for me, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity.Undoubtedly, the work they do at CatFace is challenging, but Jessica and Jason's leadership proves that with determination and a genuine passion for their craft, anything is possible. Their approach is nothing short of genius, and I have no doubt that they will continue to achieve incredible things.Keep up the amazing work, CatFace team! Your dedication and compassion are truly remarkable, and I look forward to seeing your continued success.
Cons
We can't clone the management....my only complaint lol! No seriously from the big dogs to the each member of the team...just amazing creative individuals!
Pros
Some coworkers are decent and talented people.
Cons
I have worked for quite a few companies, but never one as toxic, unprofessional and frustrating as this one. Upper management is cliquey, out of touch, and address you like you're a child. They call out people's mistakes openly, and reprimand you for bad calls other managers make. They lay off people left and right, calling it restructuring, then only reward the people they're buddy-buddy with with promotions. There is no job security here. Yes the content is interesting and the idea of working for a YouTuber is alluring, but don't be fooled. Not to mention compensation is not competitive and the PTO is an absolute joke. Upper management and HR always talks about how their doors are always open and they want feedback, but it's all smoke and mirrors; they don't actually listen to your ideas or suggestions. You're expendable no matter how many years of your life you've worked here, and the constant layoffs around here are a reminder of that, then they brag about how big the company is growing. Please read the other reviews here and don't take the chance on this place. It's not worth your time, and there are much better opportunities out there. Take it from someone who knows.
